We posted this art history poster over on Design Milk, but also thought it would fit perfectly right over here. It features artists’ names and what they “own.” If you could add an artist who would you add and what do they “own”? What would YOU own?

Haniboi’s Thingamabob collection is a series of hand-screenprinted posters displaying everyday objects with an important message and a humorous twist.

Posteritati commemorates Black History Month with Do the Right Thing: A Poster History of African-American Cinema. Posteritati will pay tribute to African-American film industry greats such as Oscar Micheaux, Paul Robeson, Sidney Poitier, and Spike Lee. The posters on display will be several from Posteritati’s historical archive of Norman Film Studios posters among many others.

I stumbled upon the work of Albert Exergian awhile back and thought his television poster work is worthy of a mention here. His series of posters based on a variety of television shows share the same simple, geometric aesthetic.

Derrick & Christina is a design duo who just finished this charming project. The project is a collection of Mad Men posters where the main characters are expressed through the unique folds of their pocket squares. If you have some time check out some more of their work.

The Great Poster Project from Art on Paper Magazine is a series of limited edition original posters by contemporary artists and designers that will focus on decoration, propaganda, and other functions.

Several illustrations by Australian artist, Mark Eastwood. He does a mixture of work referencing pop culture (one of my personal favorites).
